Cali-for-ni-a
I went out to visit Kathy (my sister) and her husband Dave and their 2 girls Kate and Emily. It was just a weekend trip, but we had SUCH a great time!! We had a wonderful time shopping, getting pedicures, running errands, eating in Japan town, savoring our Gelato and especially staying up late talking!! 
We also went to the Redwood Forest, my first visit to the big trees. And they are big!! Here is a picture of my adorable nieces inside a huge tree, unfortunately the picture is really dark.
Kate had and investiture to graduate her from Brownies to Girl Scouts! Lucky me, Girl Scout cookies, yum!! (that is her mom, my sister, the troop leader who is turning her around)

I'm glad you had such a great time Sarah. There's nothing like staying up late and talking with sisters (or sisters-in-law :))!

california sure looks like fun. i would love to see those giant redwoods, i've just heard about them in the song "from the redwood forest...to the gulf stream waters.." is the forest as great as the song makes it seem?
